Medical Cannabis Decarboxylation

Medical Cannabis flower has to be activated to realise it’s full medical potential.

This process is decarboxylation where the Acid versions of Cannabinoids are activated by heating to a specific temperature. When Cannabis is heated in the vaporiser chamber a chemical reaction takes place and decarboxylation happens with the vapour being a mix of moisture, Cannabinoids, Terpenes and Flavonoids.

The activated Cannabis is now at its most medically effective.

  • Different Cannabinoids vaporise at different temperatures.
  • Flavonoids and Terpenes add to the vapour mix
  • Cannabinoids, Terpenes and Flavonoids combine together to produce the entourage effect.

What is your Temperature?

This is a personal setting and can be used to adjust what effects you need to get from your Cannabis flower Medication.

By varying the temperature you can control which Cannabinoids, Terpenes and Flavonoids are vaporised.

We have included a handy guide here to empower you to control how you use your medication.

Please note: Vaporisers have different heating profiles so only use this guide as a range rather than a precise indication.

You will with practice be able to get the best from your medication.
